Linea is a secure and scalable Layer 2 network built by ConsenSys on Ethereum using zero-knowledge proofs. It brings low-cost, fast, and developer-friendly infrastructure to dApps, while inheriting Ethereum’s security.

It empowers builders with native EVM compatibility and rollup efficiency, enabling seamless deployment of existing smart contracts and onboarding of new users at scale.

Context

As part of the Linea Hub launch, Linea plans to introduce a gamification application designed to encourage participants to explore and engage with the ecosystem of applications. This program aims to achieve key strategic objectives: increasing TPS, user acquisition, and retention. The application will include modules capable of detecting both on-chain and off-chain actions (e.g., interactions with a smart contract, posts on X) and a data processor responsible for calculating scores based on specific rules and feeding this data into smart contracts.

Avicenne Studio helped ConsenSys by joining the Linea product team to provide support on backend and smart contract development at first, and the scope evolved to include frontend and infrastructure. The goal was to build the Linea user HUB, a platform where users can collect incentives to use the Linea chain, and the dev HUB, a platform where builder can collect incentives to build on Linea.

Background

Linea hired Avicenne to provide continuous support on all development including reward system implementation, web3 integrations, backend and UI/frontend development.

Team

Avicenne’s team was formed by a UI/frontend developer, an infrastructure/backend developer, a smart contract developer and a product manager.

In addition to the technical work needed, their role was to ensure code quality, clear documentation, reporting, sprints planning and support on ConsenSys’ collaboration with other service providers, mainly security audits.

• Computing spins based on users' onchain transactions (ERC20 transfers, Swaps, liquidity providing, MetaMask Card transactions...) → Alchemy Webhooks, SQL Queries, custom indexes, unit tests

• Duplicate Event Processing → Transaction Hash Tracking, Database Constraints, Idempotency Patterns
